Welcome.

Welcome to the Black Pear Gardening Club.

We are a gardening club affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and the Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies. Our indoor meetings are held at Powick Parish Hall. Location can be found in ‘About Us’.

Our Aims

Our club aims to bring together those of all ages with a common interest in horticulture so that they might share their enthusiasm and enjoyment of plants, gardens and gardening.

To provide an opportunity for members to broaden their knowledge of plants, the growing of healthy fruit and vegetables and to encourage planting which restores biodiversity to our gardens: creating an environment which supports bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

Our Activities

In the autumn and winter months, we host illustrated talks on topics relating to horticulture and biodiversity.   For spring and summer months garden visits are organised.

At our autumn and winter meetings plants are on sale.
